At NEMI Teas, we believe social impact is not just a buzzword, but a fundamental principle that guides us everyday.
Impact Report
We are incredibly proud to share the 2025 Impact Report, which tracks our journey over the past year as we use our business as a force for good. This report highlights the milestones achieved through our refugee employment and training programmes run at our TRAMPOLINE Cafés. By offering paid work experience, hospitality training, and job-readiness skills, we are dismantling barriers to employment for refugees in the UK—helping our amazing team members build local roots, boost language confidence, and unlock their incredible professional potential.
But our commitment doesn't stop at social impact; we are equally dedicated to protecting the planet we all share. The report details our strict environmental standards, from our plastic-free, commercially compostable packaging to the solar-powered capabilities of our Somerset production facility. We have also taken a massive step forward by formalising our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We invite you to download the full report to see how your daily cuppa is helping us brew a fairer, more sustainable, and climate-neutral future.
We invite you to explore our journey and join us in our mission to brew a better world.
Carbon Reduction Plan
As an ethical tea company, we are committed to minimising our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices throughout our operations. We believe that every cup of tea should be enjoyed without compromising the health of our planet.
Our Carbon Reduction Plan provides a comprehensive overview of our emissions, from Scope 1 to Scope 3. We are actively working to reduce our carbon impact through a variety of strategies, including:
Sustainable Tea Sourcing: We partner with ethical suppliers who prioritise sustainable farming practices and minimise deforestation.
Renewable Energy: We are increasing our renewable energy generation capacity to power our facilities and put more energy back into the grid.
Eco-Friendly Packaging: Our packaging materials are designed to be recyclable or compostable and minimise environmental impact.
By implementing these measures, we are taking significant steps towards a more sustainable future. Read our 2025 Carbon Reduction Plan to learn more about our progress and our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship.
Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative
We have taken the next bold step in our decarbonisation journey by committing to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and set near-term emissions reduction targets in line with the SBTi criteria and recommendations.
The SBTi is a corporate climate action organisation that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis. Aligning with the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming, the SBTi develops standards, tools and guidance for organisations to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets to keep global warming to a minimum.
Our commitment is published on the SBTi website.
