Smoothies with tea

Time for tea-based smoothies!

Smoothies make for an excellent beverage choice at any time of the day. They can be part of your breakfast, or you can choose to make them during the day to get the right energy boost.

They’re very refreshing, healthy, and full of wholesome, fresh ingredients. And the wonderful thing about smoothies is the freedom to blend in whatever you like!

Here are some great tea-based smoothie recipes:

Anti-Inflammatory Berry Matcha Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries or frozen wild blueberries

  • 1/2 cup spinach

  • 1/2 cup yoghurt

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk, chilled

  • 1 teaspoon NEMI Matcha tea

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

Instructions:

  • Add blueberries, 3/4 cup water, spinach, yoghurt, coconut milk, NEMI Matcha tea, and turmeric to the blender and process until smooth.

  • Add ice cubes, as needed, and blend again.

  • Serve in a tall glass, and add optional blueberries or microgreens as garnish.

Vanilla Black Tea Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup NEMI Earl Grey tea

  • ½ cup almond milk

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder

  • ½ cup plain yogurt

  • 1 banana, sliced

  • 1 cup blueberry

  • 2 cups ice

  • sliced almond, for serving

 Instructions:

  • Add the NEMI Earl Grey tea, almond milk, protein powder, yoghurt, banana, blueberries, and ice to a blender.

  • Blend until smooth.

  • Serve in a glass topped with sliced almonds.

Green Tea Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen unsweetened mixed fruit, preferably peaches and pineapple

  • 1 cup cold unsweetened NEMI Green tea

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Combine fruit, NEMI Green tea, honey, and lemon juice in a blender; blend until smooth and frothy.

  2. Serve immediately.
