Social Enterprise Tea Supplier

Social Enterprise Tea Supplier.

Where there is tea,
there is hope.

NEMI Teas is a London-based social enterprise tea supplier focused on empowering refugees by providing them with employment and leadership opportunities within our business of manufacturing and distribution of premium loose-leaf tea at both retail and wholesale channels across the UK and Europe.

NEMI Teas looks to support refugees in to employment who face a massive barrier to entry in to the UK workforce due to the lack of their local work experience and inability to provide local referee details during a job interview, if they get one.

By employing refugees to run our pop-up tea stalls across London food markets, festivals, events and conferences it gives them an opportunity to practice their English skills, regain confidence and work on skills required to enter the UK job market.

We also employ them within our business at our warehouses for manufacturing and fulfilment as well as to perform commercial roles including sales & marketing and social media. With having gained this work experience and having a UK-company on their CV, we have enabled several refugees, whom we have supported, to go on to securing both part-time and full-time positions.

We have also supported the progression of the refugees within our business itself as we initially train them about teas in general, then running of our tea stalls and pop-ups and then leading to more commercial roles including sales & marketing as well as managing our social media channels as they learn more about our business. We also help them secure the Health & Safety qualifications needed to work within the catering industry in the UK thus opening a world of opportunities within the Hospitality sector for them.

In essence our social enterprise has impacted the refugees right across their whole employment journey from providing them with the initial job opportunity, to helping them become financially sustainable to providing them with job-skills in order to enter the UK work-force.
